Remember Samaje Perine? He’s the guy who broke Melvin Gordon’s seven-day-old record for rushing yards in a game when he went for 427 against Kansas. He’s not so much a running back as he is a human battering ram with shoulder pads and a helmet.
Still don’t believe me? Let’s fix that real quick…
That’s Perine with James Fraschilla, a walk-on point guard for Oklahoma’s basketball team (and yes, he is related to Fran — the ESPN College Basketball expert is his dad).
This is obscene. Yes, Fraschilla weighs 154 pounds, but Perine is 19 years old and looks like he’s been lifting weights since before he could walk. I’ve been going to the gym regularly for the past nine years and I would look like Christian Bale in The Machinist next to Perine.
So yeah, moral of the story is Perine is basically this generation’s Herschel Walker. Also, someone needs to let James know “don’t skip leg day” means “don’t skip leg day.
